However Casio says it is actually a reworking of the bezel of the original G-Shock DW-5000C,
which was octagonal, albeit one with unequal sides.
Hence we have the name of CasiOak – combination of Casio and Oak

but also all the usual electronic functions of a G-Shock in two LCD windows,
including multiple time zones, stopwatch, alarm, countdown and calendar.
